Dancer and Choreographer Andrea E. Woods Valdés to be Featured

Dancer, choreographer and artist Andrea E. Woods Valdés is on board to be featured in JIG SHOW | Leon Claxton's Harlem in Havana. Andrea is currently the Artistic Director of SOULOWORKS/Andrea E. Woods &Dancers.  Woods is also an associate professor at Duke University and a former dancer and rehearsal director of Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Co. (1989-1995). Andrea's areas of interest include women in the arts, Afro-Cuban dance, music, and African Diaspora history/culture through performance and Dance for the Camera. SOULOWORKS/Andrea E. Woods & Dancers is a modern dance company with a mission to create group and solo works using dance, music, spoken word and multimedia as contemporary African American folklore in performance.
