LESLIE CUNNINGHAM (Producer/ Director) Leslie Cunningham is an artist, filmmaker, digital storyteller, collaborator and founder of TRIBES Entertainment, a boutique digital media company in Durham, NC. An artist with a critical eye and a unique viewpoint, Leslie has a hunger for producing daring and entertaining narratives that represent diverse subjects and communities. A master storyteller with a journalistic background, Leslie consistently pushes her artistic boundaries. Her collection of engaging film and videos have been broadcast publicly and screened at film festivals internationally and throughout the United States. Leslie’s debut feature documentary film, M.I., A Different Kind of Girl (2012), was recently chosen for Massimadi, the LGBT movie festival of Africa and its Diasporas (2016). M.I. also screened at Gender Reel film festival (2014); The North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (2012) and Atlanta’s Out On Film (2012). M.I. paved the way for more projects that would educate, entertain and feature provocative subjects and subject matter. Leslie's current work JIG SHOW | Leon Claxton’s Harlem in Havana was selected for the 2016 Sundance Institute New Frontier Program, the 2015 Cucalorus Filmmaker WIP Residency Program and received funding from ITVS Diversity Development Fund in 2014. Leslie is committed to mentoring young filmmakers and collaborating with other entrepreneurs. She is a graduate of the Center or Documentary Studies at Duke University in Durham, NC.

ALEX GAZIO (Director of Photography) has more than 17 years of experience in television production and nearly a decade of HD shooting experience. He has traveled the world capturing impressive footage for corporate and broadcast clients and his documentary experience allows Alex to treat projects with an unsurpassed attention to detail. He’s won 13 Emmy Awards and several regional awards and has traveled the world shooting video for the syndicated program “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures.” Director of Photography for the PBS documentary “Untamed Legacy,” Alex’s soulful depictions of horse, human and heart were breathtaking and earned him the Emmy for Best Photography.
